WAVVES will perform on the pbpulse.com Stage. WAVVES is Nathan Williams, a solo beach punk musician hailing from San Diego, California. Spin Magazine wrote that WAVVES is "what you get when you cross the Beach Boys' sunny melodies with the atonal guitars of Sonic Youth." His self-titled second album has gained notable media attention, including Pitchfork, which tapped WAVVES with the label "Best New Music." Rolling Stone went on further to say "[t]he battle between noise and melody veers from scary to hilarious to heroic, and as a metaphor for trying to feel good in trying times, it may hit you close to home." Some  hits include "So Bored," "Rainbow Everywhere," and "Sun Open My Eyes."

The Mae Shi will perform on the pbpulse.com Stage.  Originating in Los Angeles, California The Mae Shi is an experimental punk band. Their latest album, "HLLLYH", was released to critical acclaim, including an 8.1 from Pitchfork and the single "Run to Your Grave" was listed as number 16 on Pitchfork's Best Songs of 2008. Recently, The Mae Shi made headlines with their tribute to Christian Bale, "R U Professional", which featured samples from the actor's infamous rant on a movie set. A few of their hits include "Run To Your Grave," "To Hit Armor Class Zero," and "Lamb and Lion."

Solillaquists of Sound will perform on the pbpulse.com Stage. Solillaquists of Sound are an organic hip-hop band out of Orlando, Florida. Their message and ambitious fusion of varied stylistic genres continue to reinvent the perceptions and experience of music as a whole. Backed by a powerful message of self-awareness, the Solillaquists combine rapid-fire lyricism, jazz-tinged vocals, insightful poetry, and innovative live electronics in their performances. Their unique sounds and passionate performances earned them Orlando's Best Unclassifiable Act in 2003.  Popular hits include "Mark it Place," "Ur Turn," and "Ask Me if I Care."

Spam Allstars will perform on the Tire Kingdom Stage. Out of Miami, Florida The Spam Allstars blend improvisational electronic elements and turntables with latin, funk, hip hop and dub to create what they call an electronic descarga.  It's not a known genre, but people dance salsa next to break-dancers. Their hits include "BWY," "Hoy Como Ayer," and "Aranitas."

Awesome New Republic is a 2-piece indie band from Miami, FL comprised of core members Michael John Hancock and Brian Robertson. MJ and B-Rob both graduated from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami and have been cultivating their sound for the past 3 years. ANR self-released their first album ANR So Far to critical and popular acclaim in 2005. ANR have toured the South East, East Coast, and North East with such acts as Girl Talk and The New Deal. After a successful 2008 CMJ, the band headed back into the studio to complete Rational Geographic Volume I which they will be supporting and touring around for the bulk of spring. The disc will be the first in a series of 3 volumes to be released in 2009. Volume II will be released in July and Volume III (with 3 volume bundle) in October.
