Who Can Volunteer?

Volunteers must be at least 13 years of age.

Any volunteer under 18 years of age must have parental permission and an official SunFest waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Volunteer shifts are filled on a first come, first served basis. Please note that there are a limited number of shifts available.

SunFest 2008 Volunteer Opportunities

Art - Have Fun With The Creative Side Of Sunfest!

The National City Juried Fine Art and Craft Show is seeking volunteers to assist the artists and guests, booth sitting while the artists are on break. This committee does have both seated and standing volunteer assignments. Help is needed on (Friday - Sunday 10 AM to 2 PM, 2 PM to 6 PM, 6 PM to 10 PM).

Beads - A SunFest Favorite

We are looking for energetic volunteers to sell Sunfest Beads.  All positions are outdoors and require standing.  Assistance is needed on (Wednesday & Thursday 4:0 PM to 7:30 PM and 7 PM to 10:30 PM), (Friday 4 PM to 8 PM, 7:30 PM to 11 PM) (Saturday & Sunday 11:30 AM to 3:00PM, 2:30PM to 5:30PM, 5 PM to 8 PM and 7:30 PM to 11 PM).

Central Inventory - Site Supply Allocation

Assist in the allocation of all site supplies. Every committee that needs something comes to Central Inventory. Responsibilities include both indoor and outdoor duties. Some tasks require lifting. Assistance is needed Wednesday 12:30 to 5:30 PM and 5:30 to 10 PM; Thursday 8 AM to 1PM, 12:30 to 5:30 PM and 5:30 to 11:15 PM; Friday 8 AM to 1 PM, 12:30 to 5:30 PM and 5:30  to 11:15 PM, Saturday  AM to 1 PM, 12:30 to 5:30 PM and 5:30 to 11:15 PM; Sunday  9 AM to 2 PM, 1 PM to 6 PM, 2 to 7 PM and 5:30 to 10 PM. 

Club Sunfest - An Exclusive VIP Experience

Club SunFest is seeking friendly, customer service oriented individuals to help serve SunFest's V.I.P. members by staffing the entrance gates, package check-in, and overall Club SunFest area. Positions are available (Thursday 4:45 PM to 7:45 PM, 5 PM to 9 PM, 6 PM to 10 PM), (Friday 4:45 PM to 7:45 PM, 5 PM to 9 PM, 7 PM to 11 PM), (Saturday 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM, 3 PM to 7 PM, 5 PM to 9 PM, 7 PM to 11 PM), (Sunday 11:30 PM to 3:30 PM, 3 PM to 7 PM, 5 PM to 9 PM, 6 PM to 10 PM).

Family Activities - Do You Enjoy Working With Children?

Help children of all ages in a variety of arts, crafts, fun and games. NEW THIS YEAR - Activities will be located throughout the site! Help is needed on (Friday 4:30 to 7:30 PM, 7 PM to 10 PM), (Saturday & Sunday 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM, 3 PM to 7 PM, 7 PM to 10 PM.

Guest Services - Seeking Outgoing Individuals

Seeking friendly customer-service oriented individuals to greet patrons, provide information and assist with the State Farm Information Centers. Positions are (Wednesday & Thursday 4 PM to 8 PM, 7 PM to 10:30 PM), (Friday 4 PM to 8 PM, 7 PM to 11:30 PM), (Saturday 11 AM to 2:30 PM, 2 PM to 5:30 PM, 5 PM to 8:30 PM, 8 PM to 11:30 PM) (Sunday 11 AM to 3 PM, 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM, 6 PM to 10 PM).

Merchandise - Team Sunfest Sales Associates Needed!

Enthusiastic & outgoing volunteers needed to sell official SunFest merchandise. Both indoor and outdoor positions available. Assistance is needed on (Wednesday & Thursday 4:0 PM to 7:30 PM and 7 PM to 10:30 PM), (Friday 4 PM to 8 PM, 7:30 PM to 11 PM) (Saturday & Sunday 11:30 AM to 3 PM, 12 PM to 3 PM, 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, 5 PM to 8 PM and 7:30 PM to 11 PM).

Reserved Seating - A Fast-Paced Position

This is position requires quick-movers! Responsibilities include assisting patrons in our WaMu reserved seating area. Shifts are (Thursday 6 PM to 10 PM), (Friday 7 PM to 11 PM), (Saturday 3 PM to 7 PM, 7 PM to 11 PM) (Sunday 2 PM to 5 PM, 5 PM to 9 PM).

Soft Drinks - Help The Thirsty!

Take cover in one of SunFest's ice and beverage filled trailers! Seeking dependable volunteers to serve our patrons the finest Coke products. Positions are (Thursday 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, 7 PM to 10 PM), (Friday 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, 8 PM to 11 PM), (Saturday 11:45 AM to 3:30 PM, 3  to 7:30 PM, 7 to 11 PM), (Sunday 11:45 AM to 3:30 PM, 3 PM to 6:30 PM, 6 PM to 9 PM).

Volunteer Headquarters - The Heart Of The Event!

This is where all the action is! Assistance is needed in the processing of all event volunteers. Help is needed in distributing volunteer benefits (food and beverages, t-shirts, beads and awards) and in directing volunteers to their assignments. Shifts times are (Wednesday & Thursday 2 to 6 PM,  3 to 7 PM, and 6:30 to 10:30 PM), (Friday 2 to 6 PM, 3:30 to 7:30 PM, 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM), (Saturday 9 AM to noon, 10 AM to 2 PM, 1:30 to 5 PM and 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM), (Sunday 9 AM to noon, 10 AM to 2 PM, 1:30  to 5 PM, 4:30 to 7 PM and 6:30 to 10 PM).
