Friday: Daniel Heitz Band, Doobie Brothers, Stevie Bee

Doobie Brothers

dan Doobie Brothers

Can you believe we are into day three of this musical masterpiece of a weekend? We have seen the likes of Kid Rock, Robin Thicke, Cake and even a little Sublime with Rome. Having fun? We know we are. And if you’re not, you must not be here yet.

Hopefully, you will be joining us today with the FPL Stage finally opening up so guests can enjoy not one, but three centers of all things tunes. Here are three we sure are excited to see!

Daniel Heitz Band

Stage: Tire Kingdoms Service Centers Stage, 6:00-6:45 p.m.

Hometown: Orlando

Why You Should Arrive Early: Really, think about what you were doing at 17. It’s probably nothing you would want out on the Internet. Daniel Heitz, on the other hand, is quite different. Not even legal yet, he has picked up a few band members and has been showing off his talents all over Florida. Studying the classics like 3 Kings and BB King since 9-years-old, he has picked up their presence like nothing we have seen before. And you definitely don’t want to miss his set today and see him winning a Grammy in 2015. Won’t it better to say, “Remember when saw him out rock out at Sunfest last year?”

Stevie Bee

Stage: FPL Stage, 7:15-7:45 p.m.

Hometown: Homestead

Why You Should Arrive Early: Hey ‘Merica, this man is a veteran and a South Florida resident. Need we say more? Well, we guess we will. For just a little less than a decade in the music game, he has started his own label, his own group, released a rap album and even a Christian rap album. Gotta love a man down the ladies and God. Perfect to take home to mama if you ask us. But he might not have time for you as he is currently doing his best to take over the city of Miami as well as finish his new album, “Walk Wit Me.” We are hoping today we hear his single “Second Chances” off said album.

Doobie Brothers

Stage: Tire Kingdoms Service Centers, 9:00-10:30 p.m.

Hometown: Northern Cailfornia

Why You Should Arrive Early: They are described as “durable as American steel.” We mean, that’s pretty impressive. How would others explain you? Hot mess? When it comes to these guys, they have four Grammys under their belts and props from all ages. Many of their fans fell in love with their sound back in the ‘70s with their multi-million-selling sophomore collection, “Toulouse Street.” These days, you can check them out occasionally on American Idol or getting sampled on EDM tracks. Warning: Their set will make you want to grab an nice cold American brew.
