LP is Pure Talent

You may not recognize LP’s name at first glance, but chances are you are already familiar with her most recent single. Singer/songwriter Laura Pergolizzi’s hit “Into The Wild” is currently featured on Citibank’s rock-climbing commercial and has left more than a few people scrambling for Shazam.

And after her SunFest set last night, it is clear it is only a matter of time before the masses get hooked on her raw talent.

The androgynous musician is a surprising sight at first glance, compared to her ultra-feminine, birdish voice. A nice surprise. Don’t judge a voice by its body. The voice is really the only thing that ever matters. LP’s high-pitch, whiskey drenched magic is a powerful force.

With the slight tilt of her head in the warm dark air, shrill notes effortlessly poured out of her and spilled across the mile stretch of space. There was no doubt that this talented musician, who has been mastering her craft for quite some time, is about to break onto the scene.

LP kept a subdued demeanor throughout her set— standing unassumingly at her microphone, strumming a small ukulele with her ring-embellished fingers, while whistling with incredible ease.

And the crowd went crazy.

“You’re so beautiful,” a pack of fans screamed. “We love you!”

Soon, you will too.
