Meet the Press

sunfest1Good morning, South Florida!

In precisely 68 days, West Palm Beach’s Flagler Drive will reroute traffic and the gates will open to Florida’s largest, waterfront music festival: SunFest.

For five days some of the biggest names in the music industry will perform against a backdrop of palm trees and twinkling lights. Local artists will showcase their exquisite sculptures, paintings, and jewelry. There will be ice cold lemonade, floating party barges, corn dogs, and fireworks…The best things in life all along the Intracoastal.

My name is Cassie Morien and I am honored to be returning as SunFest’s lead blogger.

Born and raised in Boynton Beach, the first time I attended SunFest I was strapped in a stroller. I can count on one hand how many seasons I’ve missed. This will be my third year reporting the festival’s stellar highlights and sharing my veteran advice with you. I could not be more excited!

My life has been dedicated to writing about music since I was 14 years old. In June, I finally mustered up the courage to (tearfully) kiss my friends and family goodbye and move to the “Live Music Capital of the World.” Austin, Texas. It was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’ve blossomed in a city that is powered by sound.

Of course, there is nowhere quite like South Florida. SunFest is my homecoming. I can’t wait to be back.

I look forward to seeing your face in the crowd and sharing my words with you. It’s going to be an amazing week!
